FAQ

Overview

I am driving down south for my holiday on the 3rd of July. What should I include in my planning?

A lot of traffic in the southbound direction on E45 is expected on Sunday 3 July. Consider whether the trip south can be completed on Friday or Saturday - or postponed to Monday.

If you are going to drive a car on the 3rd, you must set aside extra good time and find out about the traffic in advance on www.trafikinfo.dk.

I am going to Billund Airport on the 3rd of July. What should I be aware of

The traffic in and around the municipalities of Vejle, Kolding, Haderslev, Aabenraa and Sønderborg will be significantly affected on Sunday the 3rd of July. We recommend that you look up the traffic situation in advance on www.trafikinfo.dk, and that you leave home in good time.

Which other options do I have to cross The Great Belt while the bridge is closed?

The train traffic across The Great Belt will not be affected by the temporarily closing of the car lanes across the bridge. DSB is setting in longer trainsets and encouraging customers to travel well in advance and to buy return and seat tickets for the journey.

The ferries offer an alternative to the closed bridge. This applies to Molslinjen and their “fast ferries” in the north and the ferries at Langelandslinjen in the south. On both routes there is expected to be a lot of traffic in the days leading up to Tour de France. Therefore, it is a good idea to book tickets in advance and leave from home in advance time on the day for travel.

Along the route there will be made app. 24 passages, where the route can be crossed by foot. Here it will also be possible to drag your bike. Permanent bike- and pedestrian tunnels and bridges will also be a way to cross the course.

The other days leading up to the 1st stage and Tour de CPH, where the start and finish area around H.C. Andersens Boulevard and the city hall square also will be closed (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 28th to 30th of June), it will be possible to cross H.C. Andersens Boulevard at selected places (see the interactive map), as well as cycling along the closed area, since it is only the roads that will be closed off.
