3rd stage: Vejle-Sønderborg

Traffic information

Vejle is the start city for the 3rd stage of Tour de France. Big parts of the city and the 52 km Tour route will be closed for traffic on Sunday the 3rd of July.

The stage start in Vejle will affect most parts of the City of Vejle significantly and big part of the municipality's 52 km tour route will be closed from 8:00 to 15:30 o'clock.

The stage will start from Havneøen, and the area around the harbour fron will especially be affected by road closures the 3rd of July. The area will be used for the podium for registration and stage start.

The Municipality of Vejle recommends that spectators arrive at Vejle early by public transport, and that you stay up to date on traffic information. They recommend that you, if possible, travel by foot or by bike. There will be a special parking for bikes close to the route.

Parking

If you are planning to arrive in Vejle by car, there will be established different parking zones in the area. The parking zones in Vejle is at a distance from the start area, and therefore it is recommended to bike the rest af the way.

If you arrive in Vejle by car, you will have to book access to the parking zones in advance. When you book a parking space, you will get practical information with directions at the same time.

When does the 3rd stage of the Danish Grand Départ start?

On the 3rd stage the race will start at Strandgade in Vejle at 13:05 o'clock. The last rider is expected to cross the finish line in Sønderborg around 17:20 o'clock. Before the riders there will be a publicity caravane and other vehicles on the course, so there will be much more than the professional riders for spectators to see. The traffic in and around the municipalities of Vejle, Kolding, Haderslev, Aabenraa and Sønderborg will be significantly affected on Sunday the 3rd of July. We recommend that you look up the traffic situation in advance on www.trafikinfo.dk, and that you leave home in good time.
